We decided to find the closest museum and purchase the museum pass, because it cuts queues! The closest museum wasn't open till 10.00am so we kept walking and walked right into Galeries La Fayette.
Here is a picture from inside
After consoling the map we decided to go to Musee D'Orsay. On the way we saw some silly protesters blocking the L'Opera round-a-bout.
We walked past The Lourve and I could see just the tip of the Eiffel Tower and I hyperventilated!!!! I have wanted to go to these two places my whole life and here I was!!!! The Lourve was packed out, as expected, so we knew we couldn't purchase the pass here, it was just on the way thats all!
We crossed the River Seine and found our way at Musee D'Orsay and was also greeted there with massive queues. So yet again we kept on walking and decided that we will get up early tomorrow instead and go see the Eiffel Tower today.
On the way to the Eiffel Tower we spotted another museum with very minimal queues and we managed to purchase the pass there. The museum was Musee du quai Branly. And just let me say............ no wonder there was no queues!!!!....... BORING!!!!! This museum is dedicated to the African, Asian and Oceania arts and civilisation! The actual building was nice and modern but the junk in it was just all brown and monotonous! Well, to be fair, there was some Moroccan jewellery that was interesting. But all that matters is we got the pass!!
Next thing, we were full on making out under the Eiffel Tower!!!!!! Ah two lovers in Paris!
And again the queues were massive for the lift so we agreed to come back on Monday morning bright and early!
After the Eiffel Tower we made our way down to the banks of the River Seine to book our dinner cruise, then we made our way home..... we just kept walking and walking....
Here are some pictures we took
Musee de l'armee
